Matthew Broderick: From Here To Infinity
Trailers

Wonderful World - Premiere

Tribeca Film Festival - April 27, 2009

"Wonderful World" premiered Monday night at the Tribeca Film Festival. In the movie, Matthew Broderick plays a washed-up children's folk singer who may be the most negative man in the world. He arrived with his wife, the breathtakingly beautiful Sarah Jessica Parker. It was her first time at the festival.

George Whipple: Now, are you as negative as the guy in this movie?
Matthew Broderick: No, I don't think I am. But he's not even as negative as he pretends to be at the beginning. But, no, I'm averagely negative I'd say.

Tony-nominated Sanaa Lathan brings a little bit of sunshine into Broderick's life.

George Whipple: Now tell me about your role in this flick.
Sanaa Lathan: I play a woman named Kaati who is the sister of Matthew Broderick's roommate. Basically, Matthew Broderick lives with a Senigalese man. The Senigalese man falls ill and I'm his only relative and I have to come from Senagal and I have to live with Matthew Broderick and it's an awkward situation, he's like, the most negative man in the world.

George Whipple: You cheer him up?
Sanaa Lathan: I think I do.
George Whipple: How do you do that?
Sanaa Lathan: You have to see it!

The film is directed by Josh Goldin.

George Whipple: So, you're a bit of a negative person?
Josh Goldin: No, I wouldn't say I'm negative, I would just say that there is a voice in me that is negative. Although I think there is in a lot of people who are looking at the world. The movie is about somebody who does not have the other side.
