| An intimate one-hour documentary chronicling the last two
years in the life of Peter J. Morgan, M.D., who, at age 29, learned he
had terminal cancer. The one-hour special reveals Dr. Morgan's unique and
often conflicting insights and inner feelings about living and dying with
cancer.
Cancer: A Personal Voyage features actor Matthew Broderick, whose own
father died of cancer, reading poignant excerpts from Morgan's diary. The
film also features interviews with Morgan before his death at age 31, his
family, friends and colleagues. Peter Morgan's story appears deceptively
simple. "He was not a hero," Broderick tells viewers, "he simply went to
medical school and fell in love with doctoring and caring for patients.
For him, the world was perfect until suddenly, he was the patient." |
